German in a Month App Reviews

This program is very simplistic and I am comparing to the comprehensive app called Duolingo. Consequently, I just raced through the first lesson and it is not necessarily a good learning model. Why? Because once a user learns the nouns, he/she can cruise through the exercises in the first session simply by noun recognition. This application offer little variety in contrast to Duolingo.

The app goes blank ever since I updated to mountain lion.

I should have read the review first as I just downloaded this and yeah it doesnt work with the mountain lion update. Either fix or give me my money back please!!

This is basically a flashcard app. The words arent used in sentences. I like the pronunciation part though, it helps a lot. For 4 dollars I think its worth it. Fullscreen support would be great.

This app is great for learning German! It starts out basic and slowly gets harder. You will learn a lot of vocab including verbs and how to use them in sentences properly. You hear all of the words aloud and have a chance to repeat them which is great! I would suggest this app to anyone and suggest doing both the picture mode and the writing mode to help learn.

good for pronunctuation but it doesnt have the word in english, just a picture so it is sometimes confusing on what the word in german actually is.

For 4$ this app is more than worth it. I have downloaded 3 german apps and so far this has been the most helpful. It has vocabulary that increases with each new lesson, as well as grammar which you will manage to pick up on the way if youre serious about learning german. There are both flashcard lessons and writing lessons based on those flashcards. The only thing that would be convineint would be to have the german accented letters given on writing mode for those who are not using a german keyboard. Other than that though, i really enjoy this app.

This app is good for picking up a some vocab words here and there and simple phrases, but it does not work well to pick up german language construction. You dont actually get verbs and see how they are conjugated, you just get one form here. May be good if you already have a little background in german verbs.

great app to learn. ive bot dozens of language apps and this is by far the quickest and easiest. good job guys!
